As I begin this blog I am on the cusp of retiring and am preparing for a seismic shift in lifestyle. I love to travel – in particular I love cruising. I already had three cruises booked before the opportunity for an early retirement came my way, so I immediately added on my dream cruise around South America. The blog title comes from a Susan Sontag quote: “I haven’t been everywhere, but it’s on my list.” I have a lot on my list.
This blog will focus a lot on travel; primarily cruises, although I have some dry land adventures planned as well. But it also is a place for me to share my thoughts on non-travel adventures as I navigate through the challenges and opportunities of my post-work life. I am happily single, which sometimes gives me a different perspective in a world that is often couples-centric.
